Police have informed the public of an unfortunate update in the case a missing toddler.
According to officials, three-year-old Zaid was found deceased in a creek on Friday after being reported missing the day before.
The toddler had last been seen Thursday evening around 6:20 p.m. in the area of Erindale Park in Mississauga.
On Friday, police confirmed he had been located near a dam site in a Mississauga park that had been swamped by debris following heavy rain.
Officials say he was with his parents when he went missing, and foul play is not being considered at this time.
