A 70-year-old from Milton has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl who was out on a walk with her dog last month.
Police say the incident occurred on May 31, when a 15-year-old girl was approached by the man along a pathway near Child’s Drive and Ledwith Drive.
“The suspect engaged the female in conversation before grabbing her and forcefully kissing her multiple times on the cheek without her consent,” police say.
The department launched an investigation and began circulating a suspect description the following day in an effort to track down the man.
On Sunday, he was arrested.
Officers say Sleim Basta is facing multiple sexual offences, including sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
The force is now circulating his image, as they believe there may be additional victims.
