Man arrested after Hamilton woman’s body found on Lincoln, Ont. road

Niagara police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 27-year-old woman whose body was found in Lincoln last month.

On June 8, police were called to the area of Nineteenth Street and Seventh Avenue after receiving reports of a deceased woman.

Once on scene, emergency responders found the body of Jessica Lynn St. Jules of Hamilton at the side of a rural road.

CCTV footage revealed the victim had last been seen getting into a Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a man with a larger build near the Hamilton Public Library.

On Wednesday, police confirmed they had arrested 20-year-old Pedro Benitez Leal of Hamilton.

Leal is now facing a second-degree murder charge in St. Jules’ death, and was held in custody pending a bail hearing in St. Catharines.
