Maintenance will shutter part of Hamilton’s Linc for entire weekend

The City of Hamilton plans to close part of the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway for four days later this month.

Starting on May 24, the eastbound and westbound will undergo maintenance work that will shutter the roads for several days.

Between 8 a.m. and 4 a.m., the eastbound roadway of the Linc, between Golf Links Road to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp (exiting the Linc), will be closed until May 27.

The westbound lane closure will begin on the same day but will start at 10 a.m. instead.

That closure will run from the Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Road. Access to the 403 on-ramps and the Rousseau Street off-ramp will still be possible from the Mohawk Road on-ramp.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and find alternate routes.

The city says that the maintenance work taking place will include asphalt repairs, bridge and signage repairs, vegetation maintenance, pavement markings, graffiti removal and more.
