Maintenance on Lakeshore West line will reroute GO Train for two weekends in June

Maintenance work will prevent the GO Train from stopping at several train stations along the Lakeshore West line later this month.

Additionally, GO Transit services will not be available at Appleby and Bronte stations during the maintenance period.

For two weekends, workers will be carrying out work as part of the Lakeshore West Infrastructure Improvement Plan, they are June 15 to June 16 and June 22 to June 23.

Union Station

Starting this weekend, the train from Toronto will only go as far as Oakville and will not stop at the following stations:

  • Bronte;
  • Appleby;
  • Burlington;
  • Aldershot;
  • *Hamilton; and
  • *West Harbour.

During this time, GO Transit will replace its train service with bus transportation.

The bus will not stop at Bronte or Appleby station.

(Routes marked with an asterisk* will only have bus service available on Friday, including Oakville).

Niagara Falls

Train service will continue to operate hourly between Niagara and Aldershot.

On Father’s Day weekend (June 15 to 16), these trains will only stop in Aldershot, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls.

During the weekend of June 22 to June 23, these trains will only stop at Burlington, Aldershot, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.

Go Transit is encouraging its customers to check its online bus and train schedule before travelling.
