A local Hamilton musician and television host had his classic car stolen this week, and he wants it back.
“Cadillac Bill” has owned 15 caddies in his lifetime, but this one was special to him.
Bill Boyd-Wilson had his classic Cadillac stolen on Tuesday night.
“It’s a 1989 Brougham D’Elegance white, four-door, you can’t miss it, the car is absolutely huge, and in mint condition too, so it’s very sad it’s gone,” Boyd-Wilson said.
Cadillac Bill says his car was stolen from a lot on Upper James Tuesday night. The carjacker broke in, and had it hot wired within seconds.
They got into it within about five seconds and got it started,” Boyd-Wilson said
“Hot wired it within about another five or six seconds, so this isn’t just some kids who saw a car with its keys in it because the keys weren’t in it, so it’s definitely a bit of a pro.”

But, Boyd-Wilson won’t have to drop his nickname, because he’s got another Cadillac to drive. Although, his Eldorado is a little smaller.
“Hopefully I’ll get it back, but it’s probably in a shipping container on its way to Dubai or somewhere in the far east.”
Cadillac Bill has been a fan of big caddies for a long time.
“When we moved to Canada when I was a boy, I was about 10. The thing that struck me about Canada was these enormous cars, because I came from England of course, and I just loved these amazing American cars.”
And the stolen 1989 Brougham D’Elegance was special to him.
“This was the car I used for my TV show, the Cadillac Bill Show, it’s in all the intros, it was featured in some segments in the show, it starred in a couple of music videos I made.”
The vehicle was swiped at around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, and Bill asks anyone who has seen it to call police.
