The province has announced it will hold inquests into the deaths of six inmates of the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre.
Jason Archer, Paul Debien, Nathaniel Golden, Igor Petrovic, Christopher Sharp and Robert Soberal all died while they were either in custody or after transfer to a hospital from the jail.
The deaths happened between August 2017 and May 2021.
The coroner’s office says dates and venue for the inquests will be announced some time in the future.
