Increased construction in Hamilton core starts this week

The drive through downtown Hamilton will become a little more complicated as road construction begins Monday morning.

The stretch of James Street between King and Main will be shut down while the road is resurfaced and adjusted. This construction begins Monday and will finish Oct. 31.

Portions of James Street in between King and Main will be closed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31, 2024.

At the same time the intersection of John Street and St. Joseph’s Drive will be closed until Oct. 7 to install new sewers.

The Up-bound lanes of the Jolley cut will be blocked until 6 a.m. Oct. 7, while one downbound lane on teh cut will stay open during the construction.
