Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Golden Horseshoe.
The weather agency is predicting heavy rainfall Thursday evening through Friday, which could possibly cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads.
They also said localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
This comes as tropical storm Debby continues to inch its way towards Eastern Canada.
The wrath of the storm is currently hanging over the Carolinas in the United States, with a deadly tornado hitting North Carolina early Thursday.
Early in the day Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration took to social media to warn travellers of possible disruptions, which Toronto’s Pearson Airport then re-posted.
