Hamilton under flood watch as Hurricane Beryl fallout continues

Officials with the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA) are issuing a flood warning, and are advising residents to exercise caution.

This comes as Environment Canada is reporting the remnants of Hurricane Beryl will continue to drench much of the GTHA Wednesday.

The HCA says people should be vigilant around all bodies of water, as above normal water levels and fast moving water may pose a risk.

The conservation authority also said structures such as bridges, culverts and dams could become unsafe.

Elsewhere in Ontario, Niagara Falls, Welland and the south Niagara region are all under a tornado watch, with officials forecasting winds up to 90 km/h.

Hamilton, Burlington, Halton Hills and St. Catharines are all under rainfall warnings as well.

The flood watch for Hamilton will remain in effect until Friday.
