Hamilton has broken a record and it’s not one to boast about.
Police are set to speak on gun violence and give an update Monday morning regarding the record number of shootings in Hamilton this year.
The city’s 54th shooting occurred on Oct. 10 in the neighbourhood of Stoney Creek Mountain.
The most shootings in one year prior to 2024 was 51 shootings in 2020.
