The arrest of a man from Welland connected to multiple ATM break-ins, has led to the recovery of multiple vehicles and locally stolen items.
Hamilton police say they investigated a series of break-ins between late August and early September, where local gas stations were specifically targeted for their automated tell machines.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Justin Hicks from Welland in Hamilton on Friday after making a breakthrough in the investigation.
Hicks was charged with multiple offenses involved with multiple counts of breaking and entering, including eight counts of possessing burglary tools and possessing over $5,000 obtained through theft.
Detectives say that during the execution of three search warrants, they found numerous stolen items from local businesses.
Investigators say they also seized five stolen vehicles including three pickup trucks and two “high-end automobiles.”
