The Hamilton Burlington SPCA closed its leash-free park found on its upper level with hopes to use the space to expand program capacity.
The animal rescue service announced on social media Sunday afternoon that the leash-free park found onsite at 245 Dartnall Rd. would be closing on Monday.
A following post on Instagram explained that the organisation had been struggling with space limitations for years, and the 50,000 sq. ft that housed the park would be used to expand their program capacities.
The rescue service directed pet-owners to the City of Hamilton’s Open leash-free dog park or to visit the Heritage Green fenced leash-free park at 297 First Rd. West.
