Halton regional police seek help identifying numerous theft suspects

Halton police are turning to the public for help identifying several suspects following multiple retail thefts.

The department says they’re after six different suspects across four separate instances dating back to April.

Three of the thefts occurred at liquor stores in Burlington and Oakville.

The first incident occurred on April 12, around 12:30 in the afternoon.

A man walked into the Burlington LCBO on Plains Road, where he selected multiple items and hid them under his coat before leaving the store with them.

Police are describing the suspect as being between 50 and 60 years old, with short grey hair and grey facial hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket, Blue Jays baseball cap, and light blue running shoes.

The next theft police are investigating occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on May 3, when a man filled a basket with several products and then exited the store without paying.

Police say that despite being advised by an employee that he still needed to pay, the man exited the store, entered a grey SUV and fled the scene.

Authorities describe him as a white man with a small build, who stands at five-foot-five. He has short hair and a beard and was last seen wearing black and white shoes, a black Region of Peel hat, a black sweater and a dark green jacket.

Police add that “the suspect is also responsible for other thefts in neighbouring jurisdictions.”

A few weeks later, on May 14, the LCBO on Cornwall Road in Oakville was robbed.

Around 4:30 p.m., a man and woman entered the storefront, grabbed products from numerous displays, and left without providing payment.

The woman police believe to be involved is described as being 25 to 30 years old, five-foot-six, with a small build and long dreadlocks. She was last seen wearing white tights, a white top underneath a jean jacket, white runners and a black baseball cap.

The second person suspected of being involved in this theft is a man who is five-foot-nine with a medium build, black hair, and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black rain jacket, light blue jeans, a dark grey shirt with a hexagon pattern, and white and black lace Jordan-type runners.

Officials say these two suspects are also allegedly responsible for other thefts in neighbouring jurisdictions.

The most recent theft HRPS are seeking help with happened on June 8 at the Toronto Premium Outlet.

Around 6 p.m., two men allegedly entered the Ralph Lauren store and stole a number of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing items.

The first suspect police are looking for in connection with this incident is described as being between the ages of 40 and 45, between five-foot-ten to six-foot, with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, denim pants, black shoes, and was carrying a large brown paper bag.

The second man being sought is reportedly between the ages of 50 and 55, also between five-foot-ten to six-foot, with white and dark brown facial hair. This suspect was last seen wearing a black ball cap, black vest with a black t-shirt underneath, black pants and black shoes.

Investigators with Halton’s police service are asking anyone with information to contact them directly by calling 905-825-4777, visiting the HRPS website or by facilitating an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
