Halton police seek man who allegedly grabbed woman on GO train

Halton police are circulating several photos of a man who they say is their primary suspect in an ongoing sexual assault investigation that took place on a GO Train.

On Monday, around 12:15 a.m., a woman noticed a man staring at her “intently” while she was taking the train from Toronto to Oakville.

Throughout the trip, the man continuously changed seats, closing the distance between them both.

Police say that when the woman went to exit the train at Bronte Station, “the male grabbed her, and a brief struggle ensued” before the woman was able to break free and get away.

The woman was unharmed, and investigators are now trying to track down the man who laid hands on her.

Police describe him as a 25 to 35-year-old man with a light brown complexion. He has black hair and a black goatee and was last seen wearing blue jogging pants, a black Puma hooded sweatshirt, and white New Balance high-top shoes.

Police ask that anyone who may recognize this man or have information that could assist in their investigation contact them by phone by calling 905-825-4777, extension 8970.
