Halton police seek man in Aldershot GO station sexual assault

Halton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the GO station in Aldershot.

At approximately 10:10 a.m. on July 12, a man allegedly approached the woman at the Aldershot GO station bus loop. Police say the suspect started a conversation with the victim before rubbing her arm and playing with her hair.

Upon boarding the number 17 bus to Hamilton, the suspect sat next to the victim and allegedly sexually assaulted her. The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a brown man around 60 to 70 years of age and approximately five-foot-six tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a grey cap, sunglasses, blue polo shirt under a grey hoodie, black pants and open-toe sandals. He was also carrying a black and copper-coloured cane and a light blue and black backpack.
