A 23-year-old man is wanted by Halton police on multiple charges, including attempted murder with a firearm.
According to officials, Nana-Yaw Asante attended a Burlington court on Thursday for an unrelated matter, and was released from custody in error. He is now at large.
Asante is described as five-foot-five tall, about 145 lbs, has black hair and brown eyes.
Police are warning the public not to approach the suspect if he is spotted, and are asking people instead to contact 911 immediately.
