A large presence of people that flocked to Bronte Village to set off fireworks were driven out of the area by local police last night.
Police say they made multiple arrest, but none were for any major crimes.
Halton had officers from Burlington and Oakville arrive in the village around 8 p.m. to start dispersing the crowds, and by 11 p.m., things were back to normal.
Alongside police, city officials and the local fire department were both on scene, lending a hand in the crowd control effort.
Police say they were well-prepared for the event, as the Lakeshore area has been a hotspot for these types of gatherings before.

A similar incident occurred in the area last year after an estimated 200 to 300 youth had a “fireworks riot.”
