“Our thoughts and prayers go out to anyone affected by today’s accident,” OPP Const. Andrew Gamble said in a social media update.

Police say that Highway 24 is closed from Windham Road 12 and Thirteenth Street West, and the public is being asked to avoid the area while officers attend the scene.

“I understand that Highway 24 is a very busy highway,” Gamble said.

“There are officers at those road closures checkpoints, there will be barricades in place. Please under no circumstances go around them.”
