A drinking water advisory in Ancaster has been lifted.
It was implemented last week for a group of homes on Woodworth Drive, near Fiddlers Green Road and Highway 403.
A city contractor damaged a water line during construction, and several tests had to be done to ensure the water wasn’t contaminated.
The city has released a statement saying neighbours were notified saturday that their water was safe to drink.
“We recognize the concern and inconvenience that residents experienced over the past few days and we are grateful for their patience and cooperation while we worked to restore safe drinking water”, said Nick Winters, director of Hamilton Water. “We want to extend our gratitude as well to Hamilton Water staff who worked diligently and quickly to restore drinking water to the affected residences.”
The city says anyone with additional questions should contact city hall by phoning 905-546-2489.
