Canadian white nationalist group plans Hamilton visit at end of July

A Canadian alt-right organization plans to hold an event in Hamilton on July 31.

The group is planning to stop in the city as a part of its “Road Rage Terror Tour”, which is moving across the country from Ottawa to Kamloops, B.C.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counter-terrorism describes the group as a “far-right extremist group.”

“Diagolon” was founded by podcaster Jeremy Mackenzie who promotes white nationalism.

The Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion is asking for community members, groups and elected officials to take action by publicly denouncing and opposing the group’s appearance in Hamilton.

In a social media post Thursday around 1:30 p.m., Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath condemned the group’s planned appearance saying “Hamilton has no place for hate.”

The post mentions that Hamilton police are actively monitoring the situation.
