Burlington Community Robotics launches bottle drive to find new home

The Burlington Community Robotics team has been a staple in the community for the last 17 years.

The organization connects aspiring students with experts and opens up new opportunities for young minds to get into the field of engineering.

Just this year, they learned that they’re going to move the program from within local schools and find a new permanent home — and they’re hoping their bottle drive on Saturday will kickstart fundraising.

“This program requires space, requires tools, that’s our biggest hurdle right now — to find and create that space to run the program from scratch before the 2025 season,” Ryan Coleman, one of the organizations directors, said.

From 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. the group will be travelling around Burlington and picking up empties.

To participate, you can contact one of the event’s organizers to have them swing by your home.

Alternatively, empties can be dropped off at Burlington Auto Works on 4401 Corporate Drive between 10 a.m. and 2 pm.
