Brantford police seek ATV driver who struck cop cruiser, fled scene

Investigators in Brantford are searching for the driver of an ATV who crashed into a police cruiser and fled the scene Monday evening.

Police say an officer noticed an ATV and two dirt bikes travelling dangerously around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Market Street South and Erie Avenue.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicles, but the two dirt bikes got away. The ATV driver collided with the police cruiser and ran into a forested area near Clarence Street and Erie Avenue.

Investigators say he remains outstanding.
