Brantford police arrest 2 men as a result of drug trafficking investigations

Police have arrested and charged two men in connection to investigations into drug and firearm trafficking.

Members of the Brantford police High Enforcement Action Team and the Tactical Intelligence Generated Enforcement and Response Unit conducted multiple investigations leading to the arrest of one man from Brantford and another from Hamilton.

Officers arrested a 43-year-old man from Brantford on Aug. 28, at a location on Wayne Gretzky Parkway. Following a search warrant executed that same day at a Granka Street house, officers found a loaded handgun, ammunition, Canadian cash and Cocaine and Ecstasy estimated to have a total street value of $29,850.

The man is being held pending bail and is being charged with multiple charges including possession of a firearm and possessing controlled substances.

Investigators arrested a 43-year-old man from Oakland Thursday after executing a search warrant at a Sheridan Street home.

As a result of the search, police say they found a 9mm handgun, a 20-guage shotgun, a 22-250 rifle, Canadian cash, and an amount of Cocaine and Fentanyl at the Brantford home.

The man from Oakland is also being held pending bail and is being charged with multiple charges involving unauthorized possession of firearms and illegal controlled substances.
