Brant County OPP investigating alleged sexual assault on trail

The OPP in Brant County are warning the public after an alleged sexual assault occurred on Wednesday on a trail near Rest Acres Road.

Police say the victim was walking in the Mile Hill trail system near Rest Acres Road around 8 p.m. when they were allegedly sexually assaulted by an unknown individual who then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a young white man, approximately six-foot in height, with dark brown hair and a slim to medium build.

He was wearing a black hooded sweater with white stripes on the sleeves, grey track pants, and black high-top running shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who was travelling along the Mile Hill trail system near Rest Acres Road between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.

Police warn trail users and residents in the area to be vigilant of their surroundings, and immediately report any suspicious activity.
