Arrest made in Fort Erie break-and-enter cases

Niagara police have arrested a man wanted for break and enters in Fort Erie and more charges are expected.

Greg Tarantini, 44, of Fort Erie was arrested on August 14 in the vicinity of Douglas Street and Aberdeen Street following investigations from an August 8 search warrant.

The accused was initially wanted for five break and enters at commercial properties between June 27 and Aug 6., 2024.

He was charged with additional criminal charges, including multiple charges of possession of property obtained by crime over and under $5,000 and break and enter at a place other than a dwelling.

As a result of the arrest further suspected stolen property was located and seized.

Tarantini was held in custody pending a video bail hearing at the Courthouse in St. courthouse on August 15.

The investigation continues with further charges anticipated.
