2 out of 3 suspects arrested in Oakville break and enter spree

Halton police have arrested two suspects in connection to a break and enter at an Oakville business.

The department says they received a call about an active break and enter at a convenience store on River Oaks Boulevard around 11 p.m. Monday.

Police say that when their officers arrived, three suspects tried to escape on foot.

Of the three suspects, one was arrested after a short chase and another was found during a search of the area.

“A quantity of cigarettes and lottery tickets were recovered at the scene,” the force said in a release Wednesday.

Additionally, a stolen BMW SUV was also recovered at the scene.

Following the arrest of the suspects, investigators found that the vehicle was previously stolen during an earlier break and enter that night at a Suntire Auto Service in Oakville.

Police have charged 27-year-old Istvan Fazekas from Etobicoke and 20-year-old Sandor Simko from Mississauga with multiple offences, including breaking and entering and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Both suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the courts.
