Niagara regional police have charged two brothers from Welland on Wednesday and with multiple break and enter offences.
Detectives began an investigation in September into break ins at construction sites in the City of Welland.
As a result of the investigation, police executed a search warrant Wednesday at a home in the area of Niagara Street and Lancaster Drive in Welland where they recovered multiple bottles of stolen alcohol and keys to heavy equipment.
Officers arrested 29-year-old Steven Mamone Wednesday and charged him with theft of heavy machinery from a construction site, and five counts of breaking and entering.
Steven is being held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday at a St. Catharines courthouse.
29-year-old Jonathan Mamone who is currently still in custody will be facing the same offences as his brother.

Both men have a history of being arrested and charged with breaking and entering related offences.
Steven and Jonathan Mamone were arrested on Oct. 3, following multiple commercial break and enters in Pelham, and charged with nine counts of breaking and entering to commit at a non-dwelling.
Both Mamones were charged earlier in September in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of power tools and 20 computers from an elementary school in Welland.
