A 67-year-old man has died following a collision involving a motorcycle on Mountain Brow Boulevard on Sunday, Hamilton police say.

Police said in a news release that a pedestrian was crossing Mountain Brow Boulevard around 2:42 p.m. when he was struck by a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Witnesses told police the motorcyclist was driving eastbound around the bend from Limeridge Road behind another motor vehicle. As the motorcycle came out of the curve the pedestrian allegedly ran from the north shoulder to the south shoulder between the motor vehicle and in front of the motorcycle and was hit.

The 67-year-old pedestrian was transported to hospital but later died.

Police say speed was not a factor in the collision.

Hamilton police’s collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate the collision and anyone with information is asked to contact their office at 905-546-4753.
