Niagara police release image of suspect in Jessica St. Jules homicide

Police have released an image of the man who drove the van Jessica St. Jules stepped into hours before she was found dead in a rural Niagara ditch.

St. Jules, 27, was found dead on the west side of Nineteenth Street, in the town of Lincoln, on June 8.

That day, at roughly 4:20 a.m., she was spotted entering a van near the Hamilton Public Library on Barton Street East.

The van is described as a granite-coloured Dodge Grand Caravan Premium Plus SXT that was made between 2018 and 2020.

In a media release Thursday, Niagara police say security footage captured an image of the man driving that van.

The suspect is described as having a larger build and wearing a distinctive red top with a white stripe.

“The driver of the vehicle is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn themselves into police,” read the media release.

Police say they’re trying to identify him and anyone else who was inside the van.

They’re believed to frequent the Barton Street area.

Detectives say they want to hear from anyone with information or who may have had contact with St. Jules between Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8.
