Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the Niagara region in an effort to save plants and crops from incoming freezing temperatures.
The national weather agency says “widespread frost” is expected Wednesday night into early Thursday morning as temperatures drop below 0 C.
The frost may also return Thursday, the advisory warns.
The agency says some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost and recommends people cover up plants.
“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” the advisory says.
