The City of Hamilton says the Claremont Access is partially closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for roughly a week and a half.

The roadway’s westbound or left lane up the Mountain will be closed some 360 metres west of Arkledun Avenue, according to the city’s website.

The city says the closure, to address structure repairs, began Monday and will last until May 3.

Last year, the down-bound lanes closed for eight months from Inverness Avenue East to Main Street East after the city said it found “urgent erosion and slope stability” issues during a routine inspection.

During that closure, three panels of the Claremont Access retaining wall also collapsed.
