Calgary’s Cavalry FC can finally call itself Canadian Premier League champions.
Playing in front of its hometown crowd, Cavalry dethroned four-time champions Forge FC from Hamilton 2-1 Saturday in Calgary.
Tobias Warschewski and Sergio Camargo led Cavalry FC’s offence with a pair of first-half goals.
Alexander Achinioti-Jönsson responded in the second half with a goal in the 52 minute for Forge FC but the Hamilton side couldn’t complete the comeback.
