A man is dead following a hit-and-run in Port Colborne, Ont., according to police.
Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating.
Police said in a Sunday news release that they believe the victim, a 53-year-old man, was struck by a vehicle while walking on Silver Bay Road south of the Friendship Trail sometime between 10 p.m. and midnight on Saturday.
The victim’s family members began searching the area for him on Saturday night when he did not return home, police said.
