3 people in ‘stable condition’ after east-end shooting, Hamilton police say

Hamilton police said they responded to a call near Gage Avenue North and Cannon Street East around 12:30 a.m. Officers found three people with gunshot wounds who were taken to hospital, police say.

Three people are in “stable condition” after they were shot in Hamilton’s east end on Sunday morning, police say.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a call near Gage Avenue N. and Cannon Street E., where they found three people with gunshot wounds, said a Hamilton police news release issued Sunday. All three people were taken to hospital. 

Investigators say they are seeking witnesses and ask anyone with information or security camera footage to get in touch with them.

The incident marks Hamilton’s 26th shooting of the year, according to police.

CBC Hamilton asked police for more information about the three people who were shot, the circumstances of the shooting, and whether police have any suspects. Police did not immediately respond.
