One man is dead and two people are injured after a shooting at a party in Hamilton’s Flamborough region, police say. A portion of Highway 6 is closed as they investigate the possible homicide.

Around 4:30 a.m. on June 30, officers responded to a call near Concession Road 6 E. and Highway 6, police said in a Sunday news release.

There, police said they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries who said he had been shot at a party at a nearby short-term rental.

Police said they went to the property and learned about two other victims who left the area: a woman with non-life-threatening injuries and a man police say died in his car nearby.

Police said they are working to identify the victim and locate their next of kin.

There were about 60 people at the party and they are interviewing witnesses. Police said they do not have a suspect yet.

Halton Regional Police and Ontario Provincial Police are helping local police assist traffic. They have closed Highway 6 both ways between Concession Road 6 E. and Concession Road 7 E.
