Fog advisory for Hamilton expected to lift as temperatures rise

A fog advisory has been issued for Hamilton and most of the Golden Horseshoe.

Environment Canada says the region should expect periods of “near zero visibility.”

“If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.”

The fog is expected to burn off by the end of the morning, as temperatures rise throughout the region.

The first day of May is expected to bring a high of 20 C and plenty of sunshine by the afternoon. A mix of cloud and sun can be expected by the later afternoon.
