Halton police appeal to public after overnight Guelph Line shooting

The Halton police are investigating an early morning shooting north of Campbellville and are asking the public to help in reporting any suspicious activity possibly linked to the incident.

Halton police were contacted by Guelph Police in the early morning hours of Oct. 28 following the report of two men who were at a hospital in Guelph.

One of the men was treated and released for a gunshot wound apparently obtained in the Halton region. His injury was non-life-threatening.

The other man was not injured.

The Halton Police Major Crime Bureau is now investigating the incident.

A 25-year-old from Halton Hills and a 28-year-old from Surrey, BC have both been charged with ‘Discharging Firearm with Intent’.

The accused duo were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious or may have dash cam footage from Guelph Line north of the Campbellville area between midnight and 6 a.m. Oct. 28 to come forward.
