Some residents in Delhi were asked to shelter in place Tuesday morning after provincial police received a call about a person with a weapon.
“What I can tell you is that the individual was taken into custody without incident,” Provincial Constable Andrew Gamble said on social media in an update several hours later.
The initial call came in shortly after 7 a.m. and shut down part of Gibralter Street. At the time of the call, police took to social media to issue a hold and secure, asking nearby residents to remain indoors.
“Keep your children home from school. Updates will be provided as soon as possible,” police said in a post on social media.
