A Hamilton man has been killed, police say, after he lost control and crashed his e-bike.

Emergency services were called to Glen Valley Drive on Monday, just after 4:30 p.m.

A 36-year-old man from Hamilton was taken to hospital and died soon after arriving.

Police say the collision reconstruction unit is investigating and part of Glen Valley Drive was closed for several hours but has re-opened. Const. Indy Bharaj said, by email, that “speed and impairment have not been ruled out at this time.”

Police say the man is the sixth person killed in a traffic accident in 2024.
