UPDATE: Police Charge Driver in Queen Street Fail to Remain

Hamilton Police Service have charged a 61-year-old man of Hamilton in relation to a Fail to Remain collision.

On Sunday, October 13th, 2024, at approximately 5:42am a collision occurred in the southbound lane of Queen Street South, south of Aberdeen Avenue, in the City of Hamilton. An individual was located on the roadway with serious head injuries and investigation revealed that the individual had been struck by a motor vehicle. The individual was transported to the Hamilton General Hospital by EMS with critical, life threatening injuries. The involved vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

On Monday, October 14th, 2024, the 61-year-old Hamilton driver turned himself into the Hamilton Police Service and has been charged with Failing to Remain to Cause Bodily Harm under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The 61-year-old Hamilton man will appear in court on Monday, November 18th, 2024.
