Hamilton resident charged after death in 2-vehicle collision in Hagersville

A 26-year-old Hamilton resident has been charged following a fatal collision in Hagersville, Ont., last month.

Ontario Provincial Police in Haldimand County responded around 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 13 to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of McKenzie Road and Third Line.

As a result of the incident, the driver and the passenger of one vehicle were transported to a trauma hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger, a 22-year-old from Hamilton, later died.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

OPP say the driver has been charged with dangerous operation causing death and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
