Niagara police arrest 32-year-old man following firearm investigation

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Niagara Falls after two search warrants revealed firearms and illegal narcotics.

The department began an investigation in September into the presence of firearms in the City of Niagara Falls.

As a result of the investigation, detectives say they identified a man suspected to be in possession of a firearm.

Officers executed two search warrants Wednesday, one at a local storage locker and another at a home on Harovics Lane, and located what they suspect to be illegal narcotics and firearms.

Detectives say they seized two firearms with one of them loaded, about $10,720 worth of narcotics and $1,230 in cash from the search warrants.

Investigators arrested 32-year-old Jarrod Brian Graham from Niagara Falls who they say was also wanted by police for failing to comply with a release order.

Graham has been charged with offences, including multiple counts of possessing narcotics, and possessing firearms.

Graham was held in custody pending a video-bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse Thursday.

Niagara police say they are continuing to investigate the presence of firearms in the area, and are asking anyone with information to contact police.
