Two people are facing charges following an investigation by the OPP that uncovered more than $250,000 in illegal cannabis.
OPP’s cannabis team and their Haldimand/Norfolk detachment joined forces to look into the sale of illegal cannabis from two storefronts in Niagara Falls.
Police say these storefronts were not authorized by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to sell cannabis.
Earlier this month, officials carried out a search warrant at both locations, leading to the seizure of over $250,000 of cannabis and cannabis products.
Sixty-year-old Misty-Lyn Drozdowsky of Port Colbourne, and 39-year-old Lehlohonolo Molefe of Toronto are facing numerous charges in relation to the investigation.
OPP say the case remains open, and officers are still accepting tips. Any person with information regarding the illegal sale of cannabis should contact the OPP’s non-emergency number at 1-888-310-1122.
