Police are investigating what they believe to be a targeted shooting Thursday morning where a man was shot in an East Hamilton neighbourhood.
Officers responded to reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound just before 6 a.m. in the area of Rainbow and Secord Drives.
Emergency crews were able to transport the 27-year-old man to hospital for medical treatment and remains in non-life threatening condition.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and have determined that the shooting took place in the area of Nash Road North and Bancroft Street between 1 and 2 a.m.
