Hamilton Police Seek Witnesses in Serious Pedestrian Collision

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred yesterday morning.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, shortly after 8:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Emerald Street North and Keith Street after an 11-year-old girl was struck by a westbound blue Ford Mustang. The vehicle continued through the intersection striking the young child, pinning her against a building.

The child was transported to the hospital in critical condition and now remains in stable condition with life-altering injuries. The driver of the Mustang was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate and are asking for any witnesses or motorists with dash cameras who were in the area during the time of the collision to review their footage. Additionally, residents or businesses with surveillance cameras are asked to check their recordings for any relevant information.
