Guelph man charged in alleged sexual assault on Niagara tourist bus

Niagara Parks Police Service has charged a Guelph man with sexual assault after he allegedly groped passengers on a hop-on, hop-off tourist bus.

Officers say they received a complaint of a man inappropriately touching people on a WeGo bus travelling along the Niagara River Parkway around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Following an investigation, a 41-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with sexual assault and commiting an indecent act in a public space.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing that was scheduled for Monday in a St. Catharines courthouse.

Police believe there may be other victims.

Any witnesses or people with further information are asked to contact police.
