An Oshawa man with a driving prohibition is facing charges after he was spotted operating an e-bike in Niagara Falls.
On Thursday, police say they spotted a man “known to detectives” driving an electric scooter on Morrison Street.
Officers performed a check on the man and learned he was prohibited from driving in Canada. However, he was gone by the time the realization had occurred.
Later that day, detectives spotted the man in the driveway of a home on Crysler Avenue and made an arrest “without incident.”
On his person, police say they found 32 grams of suspected fentanyl, 10 grams of cocaine, a collapsible baton as well as cash.
Nicholas Roditis, a 48-year-old from Oshawa, is facing multiple charges of trafficking, possession of a weapon, and driving while disqualified.
He remains in custody and is expected to undergo a bail hearing in St. Catharines on Friday.
