A 33-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly “intentionally contaminating” public pools in Milton using chocolate bars and fecal matter.
Halton police were notified of the incidents, all happening earlier this month, by the Town of Milton.
Officials say the suspect used chocolate bars and feces to contaminate the water at Milton Sports Centre and Milton Leisure Centre.
These incidents caused the extended closure of both pools, impacting aquatic programming.
Following an investigation, Halton police caught the culprit in the act, subsequently arresting a woman from Milton.
She is now facing a mischief charge, and was released from custody pending a future court date.
