Brandon Montour to bring Stanley Cup home to Six Nations next week

The Stanley Cup is coming to the Six Nations of the Grand River next week.

Brandon Montour, who won the cup with the Florida Panthers last month, is bringing it home on July 24.

“We are very proud of Brandon and his accomplishments,” Chief Sherri-Lyn Hill said in a statement.

“We’re glad Brandon is sharing his day with Six Nations.”

A celebration will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Six Nations Sports and Cultural Memorial Arena.

A parade starting at Ohsweken Speedway will bring the cup to the arena.

Before and during the event, roads will be closed from 5th Line to the intersection of 4th Line and Chiefswood Road, and to Lawrence Jonathan Lane. One lane will be open for emergency services.
